Remove updates
Whenever a Windows update causes problems, especially if the computer is no longer able to start, you can use O&O UpdateRemover to remove the defective update.
Once you start O&O UpdateRemover, it begins detecting Windows updates. This might take some time, depending on the age of the computer. After all the updates are found, you can select the one you want to remove by clicking on it. You can then select Remove update at the lower right and in the lower section, you’ll be able to see the progress of the deletion.
While deletion of the update can be stopped, this will not result in the update being reinstalled. The current action will be closed and the system restored to a pristine condition. In certain cases deletion of the update must be completed in order for the system to remain bootable. If you've deleted an update by mistake, you can reinstall it under Windows.
